Living Out the Way

At the scenic Chonlapruk Resort in Nakhon Nayok, the ACTS’ Camp 2024 took place from October 12–14, inviting 887 participants to journey deeper into “The Way.” The theme, inspired by John 14:6, resonated powerfully through every moment: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This verse set the tone, reminding everyone that faith is not merely a set of beliefs, but a lifestyle—a practice of walking with Jesus each day.

The camp’s title, “The Way,” was inspired by Practicing The Way by John Mark Comer, designed to guide attendees toward embracing Jesus’ teachings as a way of life. With a curriculum of six sessions, participants explored the depth of following Jesus through lessons like “Jesus’ Call to Follow His Way” by Pastor Boworn Kitivetang and “Be with Jesus” by Dr. Kanok Lihikriangkrai. Pastor James Loke led powerful lessons on “Transformation Through the Holy Spirit” and “Transformation Through the Word,” while Pastor Kobchai Chirathivat  illuminated “The Way of Jesus: Take Part in the Acts of Christ.” Together, these teachings emphasized that “The Way” is an ongoing commitment to transformation, community, and mission.

The camp opened with worship, and hearts were moved by God’s presence. The first day included a deeply meaningful water baptism ceremony, where 50 new believers publicly declared their faith, marking a new chapter in their journey. Throughout the camp, powerful sermons, worship, and heartfelt testimonies wove together, creating an environment where faith flourished and new beginnings took root. Among the attendees, 18 newcomers experienced the camp, and by the end, five of them decided to accept the faith.

Team-building activities, workshops, and moments of connection enriched participants’ lives and strengthened bonds. These interactions reflected the unity and purpose shared by all, reminding them that they walk this journey together. The second evening of the camp marked a special celebration: the church’s 16th anniversary. It was a time of gratitude, love, and reflection on God’s steadfast grace over the years. The anniversary celebration honored God’s faithfulness in sustaining the church and held an air of expectancy for continued growth and blessings for Thailand and its people.

As the camp concluded, attendees returned home transformed, with a renewed vision to live out “The Way” and bring Christ’s light into their daily lives.
