A Goal for Generations

Hope Kampar recently celebrated the blessing of owning a permanent home, marking a significant milestone in its 17-year journey. On September 8, 2024, a building dedication ceremony was held to honor this momentous occasion, testifying to God’s faithfulness in establishing His church in Kampar.

Pastor Simon, along with leaders from various Hope churches, graced the event. He delivered a message titled Hope Is Rising, drawing from the story of the 12 spies, and encouraged the congregation to be “Hope Builders,” carrying faith and hope to others. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the dedication of the building for the Lord’s purpose, followed by a celebratory feast.

Pastor Joshua shared the journey leading to this milestone, beginning with three prophecies released during the 2018 Chiang Mai HIM Global Conference, which promised that Hope Kampar would one day have its own building. Despite the challenges—especially with a congregation largely composed of students—the church prayed, planned, and acted in faith. Five years later, in January 2023, the building was officially acquired, all by God’s grace.

God’s provision was evident throughout, preserving the building from other buyers, reducing the final purchase price by 45%, and providing nearly half the funds through successful fundraising efforts, even in the midst of post-pandemic recovery.

Pastor Joshua reminded the congregation that this building is not the ultimate goal but a testament to God’s fulfilled promises for Kampar and future generations, demonstrating that He can do more than we can ask or imagine. He encouraged everyone to believe that God can do the same in their own lives.
