On July 13, 2024, the second HE1 regionwide core team meeting took place, bringing together leaders from various churches (including Leeds, Malton, Hatfield, Newcastle, London, Milton Keynes, Haugesund, Madrid and Hope Remote) with a shared vision. We were joined by Pastor Simon, who shared his wisdom and stories with us.
Pastor Simon emphasized the importance of seeking God as the foundation of any successful ministry. He reminded us that prioritizing prayer and spiritual growth aligns our goals with God’s will, giving us the strength and wisdom to lead effectively. The second key is fostering a spirit of teamwork and collaboration. He encouraged us to work closely with our teams, recognizing and valuing each member’s unique contributions. Pastor Simon also inspired us to be proactive in creating initiatives that address the needs of our churches.
In addition to these insights, Pastor Simon spoke about the essence of leadership, emphasizing that it begins with taking responsibility. He highlighted the importance of having a clear vision and learning to hear from God to ensure our leadership is grounded in His guidance. He also shared practical tips on balancing various aspects of life, stressing the importance of discipline and organization. His personal stories about managing his responsibilities effectively were truly inspiring.
We also heard from Maricel from Hope Madrid, who shared some wonderful updates and testimonies from their church. We then broke into smaller groups to share our lives and pray for each other. As we move forward, we ask for your prayers as we continue to seek God’s guidance!
