14th June 2024 marked the 1st day of the long awaited Asia 3 (A3) region conference after 5 years since the pandemic. With the theme “What’s Next”, many were looking forward to receiving from God.
It was truly a sight to see as 220 brothers and sisters arrived in batches at Malaysia Bible Seminary (MBS) Rawang. There were local delegates from Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Muar, Kluang, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Sitiawan and international delegates from India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Bhutan and China. The joy and gladness was evident as brothers and sisters greeted and embraced one another. It is indeed, a joyous gathering of the big family of God!
The camp started with a yummilicious sharing of local food from various places. What other perfect way to start other than to fellowship and connect over the “6th love language” – delicious food. Next, the camp kicked off with a night of immersing ourselves in prayers, worship and ministering in anticipation of that “Kairos Moment” throughout the camp. It was a great encouragement to the church when prophetic words and images were received and shared. Healing was also received as the whole church praised and worshipped God, celebrating His goodness.
It was also a wonderful spiritual feast throughout the camp where the Word of God was preached powerfully and joyfully by Ps Tim Stevenson from Horizon Church, New Zealand. In addition to that, there were also 6 different interesting and relatable life sharing sessions for 6 different stages in life by various beloved A3 leaders.
There were also lots of opportunities for connection through a special sharing session for leaders, homogenous group activities, group discussions after teaching sessions, water baptism as well as ample time for sharing during meal times and supper time. It was a touching sight to see brothers and sisters sharing and praying for each other regardless of homogenous group, language or locality.
While the adults were feasting spiritually, the children were also enjoying themselves tremendously with various high energy activities and learning through play. The kids enjoyed themselves so much that some even asked about the next church camp!
4 days and 3 nights passed by quickly and before we knew it, it’s already time to say goodbye. Although the camp has ended, we believe we shall see the impact after. There will surely be more!
