On 12 November 2023, 18 members of the Hope Church (Willawong Centre) were baptised to publicly declare their commitment to God. It was so encouraging seeing many of those getting baptised came from the children’s ministry.
After Sunday Service, the congregation gathered excitedly outside Unidus Community Centre. After a short praise and worship session, the church gathered for a group photo to commemorate the special occasion.
We then proceeded to baptise each brother and sister, in groups of three. They were fully immersed in water to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After each group of three emerged from the water, we prayed for their journey in Christ before the photos and celebrations commenced.
We thank God, the event coordinators, the mentors, the baptism assistants, friends and family for making it a very special day.
