Welcome again to another update on our mission work in Africa. Last year has truly been a blessing to all of our brothers and sisters here, and we would love to share God’s goodness with all of you!
2024 was a fantastic year where we saw God bless the collaboration between Hope Brisbane, Hope Gold Coast and the churches in Southern and Eastern Africa. We were able to bless many children in both the rural and the urban areas, blessing them with hygiene and stationery packs, as well as gifts and toys and useful material for their education.
We were also able to train pastors and give them seed packs to start them on their journey towards self determination. During that training, many pastors were encouraged to be able to go church planting. We were able to give the children chlorine during the cholera epidemic, and also share the gospel with many thousands of children and their adult parents and siblings. Besides that, we were exhilarated to see so many miracles and people being blessed with healing in their bodies during the crusades
During the year, we also planted a university student group amongst the Zambian university students. The Australian team was able to be a massive blessing as we were able to not only minister with the Zambian students in the rural areas, but we were also able to hold a university student conference where those university leaders were able to be trained for ministry.
The collaboration was exciting and wonderful. Many university students were baptised throughout the year and have become the next generation of leaders being trained to lead our university student group and to be able to lead our outreaches into the rural areas.
We are excited about the future, the future of the relationships that are being built throughout Southern Africa. Those leaders that are being trained, those souls that are being saved, those people that are hearing the gospel, those peoples whose lives are being transformed. Vision is being imparted amongst the people as we look together towards the future and think about what can be done as we plant many hundreds and hundreds of churches.
We understand that every church represents many children, many families and communities that will be transformed with the life changing power of the gospel. The gospel that changes every life. And every life that is transformed has the potential to transform a community. And every life that is trained is able to become a leader that is able to go on and train other people, disciple other people, so that whole communities, whole areas can be completely changed through discipleship, through the gospel and through the grace of God.
