Welcome everyone to the first Advance of 2025. This year, we’re starting off with a special message from our very own Ps Wilson, the HIM President to all of us.
Ps Wilson speaks about how a fresh new year brings with it fresh new opportunities and fresh new beginnings. Isn’t that always exciting? However, this excitement isn’t felt the same way by many others in the world. There is a darkness out there in their lives as they enter this new year. The future may seem bleak to them, with a looming sense of hopelessness. But that is only because they have yet to know Christ, for it is in him that we have hope. Hope in Christ is a true hope, an everlasting hope, a hope that is sure and a hope. that will truly transform our lives.
Our friends and families might be placing their hopes of the future on their governments, promises of their politicians, on their careers, friendships or things that they end up doing. However, as time passes by, they realise that their hope doesn’t last, as all these things are temporal. For the only lasting place we can put our hope on is in Christ, for He is the only one who could truly transform our lives for a better future.
Isaiah 54 speaks of how we should enlarge our tents, and perhaps that is what is needed in today’s world. Let us trust Jesus to stretch our tents by doing new things in God.
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.” (Isaiah 54:2-3, NIV)
Let us stretch our tents by reaching out to new people and new people groups. Have you considered trying out new things this year? Perhaps mentoring someone, or embracing a new believer to help them in their faith of transformation with God. Perhaps you can help touch someone else’s life! And it doesn’t have to stop here. You could try taking up some new roles of leadership to pioneer new groups, or even a new church group! The possibilities are truly endless as we move in the hope that we have in Christ to enlarge the tent for the Kingdom of God this year. Let us pioneer new things!
Doesn’t that sound exciting? But that’s not all. Can we believe that God will help us to enlarge our tents in such a way that we will begin to touch the nations that we are in? Imagine that! Imagine pioneering in such a way that you can impact your nation! Imagine if in every city, in every town, we have groups of people praising God in glorious ways. This amazing idea is our emphasis for this year as we start 2025 with the theme to Saturate Our Nation.
We’ve been building up to this particular theme over the past few years. From the importance of being transformed inside out, to the importance of mentoring and transforming lives everywhere. We’ve been focusing on small group communities and how the community can help transform people’s lives. All of these have been ways on how God can use us to Saturate Our Nation.
Saturating our nations will be an important step as we move forward until we begin to reach out into other nations. In the recent PACT25 (Pastors, Coordinators and Core Team Conference) that happened in Kuala Lumpur, Ps Wilson shared about this to all the attendees. There was a palpable excitement in the room as everyone was excited to rise up to saturate their respective nations. For there is faith that God is going to make this possible during 2025 and beyond.
So let us all continue to trust in God as we continue to transform lives everywhere. With God’s anointing, His power and His authority, we believe that we can all do this together. Let us rise up to this challenge in 2025 in God’s anointing!
