Hope Melbourne Regional Conference 2017 : Illuminate

Easter was a great time for Hope Melbourne, as the first Regional Conference took place involving the four centres as well as visitors from interstate. We had the privilege of having Dr. Allan Meyer as our guest speaker, who spoke with passion and clarity for each session covering a number of topics and issues in today’s world.

Among the areas shared upon, Allan Meyer spoke boldly on topics to challenge our mindsets on stepping out of emotional reactions such as guilt and shame, in order to place a trust in God as described in Psalm 1. He also gave practical steps in stepping into the arena of healing, healing ourselves so we can help others receive the same gift God has for those who believe in the things seemingly impossible. Many of us were also blessed by his advice and teaching on sexual discipleship, to help singles and married couples have total honesty with each other and to find healing from the things in our old relationships, so that our future ones may be strong and deep.

The adults weren’t the only ones to be blessed, as there was also an exciting kids program, allowing parents to attend the main conference during the sessions so they could benefit from stories and lessons being shared. There were a number of activities being run for the children to let them explore their sense of fun and creativity, such as games, craft making and learning songs together.

Our members and visitors who attended have brought back a number of testimonies and memories from the conference, as well as the fellowship together which included a campfire on the Sunday night. We’re prepared to look forward in faith and excitement for future RC’s following the success of this first one.
